Alberto Biasi
Alberto Biasi (Padua, 1937) is an Italian artist and a leading figure in kinetic and programmed art. After studying art and architecture, he began his career in the late 1950s. In the 1960s he contributed to the founding of Gruppo N, with which he quickly gained international recognition. After the group disbanded in 1964, he continued his research independently, focusing on visual perception and the interaction between artwork and viewer. His works, such as optical-dynamic Rilievi, Torsioni and immersive environments, create effects of movement and change through light, materials, and the observer’s position. From the 1970s onward, he developed new series like Politipi and Assemblaggi, maintaining a consistent exploration of vision. He has exhibited in major museums and international exhibitions, establishing a long and influential career.
