Historic Italian design brand, Paradisoterrestre announces the addition to its catalogue of Bibliochaise and Bibliopouf, seats designed by Giovanni Gennari that harmoniously blend aesthetics and functionality.
Bibliochaise was first previewed in 2006 at Pitti Living during Fuorisalone. Designed to meet the needs of book lovers, this armchair combines the elegance of a comfortable seating with the versatility of a storage space for your selected library. The armchair, customizable in finishes and colours, can hold up to 5 meters of books, and is accompanied by Bibliopouf, an upholstered footstool inspired by the structure of the seat.
For the occasion, Paradisoterrestre has chosen to collaborate with one of the most significant and richest cultural entities of Bologna: Libreria Nanni. Known as the oldest bookshop of the city, it was started in 1825 by Marchesi family and in 1928 was taken over by Arnaldo Nanni, who equipped it with the characteristic “Parisian stalls” under the ‘portico of Morte’, which are still one of the distinguishing features of the historical activity.
The bookshop, located in the heart of the city in Via de’ Musei, a few meters from the Paradisoterrestre Gallery, houses a collection of rare and ancient volumes that has made it a reference point for scholars, collectors, and enthusiasts. Bibliochaise and Bibliopouf fit perfectly among the shelves filled with unique texts, standing out for their contemporary design and refined finishes.
Paradisoterrestre is pleased to invite you to the presentation event on Friday 7th June 2024, at 6 PM at Libreria Nanni and Paradisoterrestre Gallery, respectively located in Via de’ Musei 8/D and Via de’ Musei 4, Bologna (IT). A unique opportunity for design and culture lovers to discover this original creation.
