A true pioneer, Italian artist and designer Augusto Betti between the 50s and the 60s began to experiment with the countless possibilities of new synthetic materials, focusing in particular on transparencies, colors and lens effects.

In the artist’s own words:
“In Vibrazioni (Vibrations) the lenticular surface gives a view of the background that changes according to the movement, even minimal, of the observer. The vision also changes in relation to the distance from the work. The wire mesh inside gives the refraction and the breakdown of the color. The vertical lines produce a modulation due to the convergence of the lenses.”
