V36 by Ángel Duarte is a kinetic artwork in limited edition of 50 pieces produced in 1968 by Centro Duchamp in San Lazzaro di Savena (BO – Italy).

Ángel Duarte was born in Aldeanueva del Camino (Cáceres) in 1930. In 1934 he moved with his family to Madrid. He entered his uncle’s silver workshop and learned drawing and modelling from Antonio Solís. He attended classes in the Academy of Fine Arts and made the acquaintance of Agustín Ibarrola. In 1954 he left for Paris where he met up again with Ibarrola and the other Spanish artists Juan Serrano and José Duarte. Years later they went on to form the artistic group known as Equipo 57. His work ranges from expressionist painting to geometric abstraction, and has appeared in exhibitions in cities all over the world (Moscow, Los Angeles, Warsaw, Buenos Aires…). He died in Switzerland in 2007.
